ReciLocTM PCR Barrier Technology

What is PCR Barrier Technology?

PCR is post-consumer recycled resin, used in packaging to increase the use of recycled materials and enable a circular plastic economy. Unfortunately, PCR carries contaminants, odors and compounds from previous use, making PCR unsuitable for consumer products.

With this in mind, we would like to introduce our patented solution: ReciLoc™. ReciLoc is our unique technology that creates a permanent barrier, locking contaminants and odors in PCR.

How ReciLoc Works

ReciLoc - How ReciLoc Works

ReciLoc technology locks odors and contaminants in all grades of polyolefin post-consumer recycled resin (PCR), preventing migration into packaged contents and the environment.

ReciLoc allows PCR-containing packaging to perform similarly to virgin plastic packaging, allowing more PCR resin grades to be utilized and increasing the use of recycled materials.

Sustainability with ReciLoc

Many companies have shifted their priorities towards sustainability and are monitoring their environmental footprint. The mountain to get over is the lack of supply and availability of ‘clean’ PCR resin grades – grades that are free of contaminants and odors.

Our ReciLoc™ technology will help many companies meet their PCR goals and commitments, while finding a second life for many tons of plastic.

Furthermore, ReciLoc maintains packaging recyclability and has a low carbon footprint, making it an environmentally responsible choice.
